Who am i?

I am Arijay born in India and living in the UAE since 2007, thus bringing an amalgamation of both cultures into my work. Having travelled extensively, I was fascinated by the cultural and geographical diversity of different countries and attempted to capture them through my lens.

Music, Film and Photography have fascinated me since childhood, leading me to pursue these passions since my early years. I found these to be cathartic, as they provided me with a sense of accomplishment and happiness. I consider myself blessed to have gotten the opportunity to pursue these as my profession. 

My creative journey started at SAE University College, Dubai in 2020 when I enrolled for Bachelor's in Audio. During this period, my elective posting in film ignited a new passion, which led me to follow up my degree in Audio with a second Bachelor's in Film. I have also received an end user certification as a Colourist in DaVinci Resolve by Blackmagic Design.

I have interned at multiple firms like Mango Jam Studios, Airscope Tech and SalesEra. I have also been part of several collaborations allowing me to develop my teamwork and communication skills while honing my colouring, DIT, audio, videography skills as well. At SAE, I actively participated in various events, as organizer, audio engineer and photographer. I enjoyed conducting audio workshops and helping film and audio students whenever required.

My skills lie in the roles of Colourist, DIT and Editor, being the areas that I have a keen interest in. I also have experience as a Cinematographer, Photographer and Production Designer. All the diverse roles that I have undertaken have helped me develop my confidence, communication and organizational skills.

I am adept at colouring in Resolve Colour Management and ACES (Academy Colour Encoding System). My aim in all projects is to understand the story and individualize my craft to suit the vision of the client. 

​Besides Audio and Film, my passion for Formula 1 runs deep. One of my happiest moments was when I got the opportunity to attend the 2023 Yas Marina Circuit Grand Prix and capture Formula 1 moments on camera.

I have attended workshops by award-winning cinematographer Prof. Gary Griffin, Thomas Krivy of Prague Film School and award-winning director, writer and photographer Raam Reddy.

I like to interact with like-minded creatives and am a member of The Electric Arthouse and Film Society, DXB. ​
